I have a nasty habit lately of, when writing, doubling the wrong letters in words I write. The letter wrongly doubled is usually adjacent to the intended pair. The intended pair I will then write as a single letter.

(Such as writing 'weel' instead of 'well'.)

Now, this might be a problem when typing something up on the computer word-processor if the spell-(speel-...)check does not catch the error because the misspelled word is an actual word in English.

So, what are some examples of common words where, if the wrong adjacent letter is doubled, then we get another valid common word?

I need to know of some of the dangerous-pitfall words to be careful of when typing....

Thanks, Leroy Quet
