The deadline has passed. There were 38 entries. It may be a few days before I can score this one.

I'm not an entrant (too busy the last few weeks) but I have to disagree with...
Just because you don't know it doesn't mean they don't exist. NASCAR is most definitely a 'team' sport. The driver may be the one 'the credit' (just as frequently the Quarterback gets all the credit, doesn't make it any less of a team effort), but with the the pit crew and the team manager etc, the drivers wouldn't finish. Just watch the coverage on TV for a few minutes and you'll hear them mentioning the 'Tide Team' or 'Dale Jarretts team'. I could go on, but I won't
and
Sure it is. Have a look at http://www.plimsoll.com/mark.html

But is the film to any extent based on the TV series? The film and the book, yes. This is not a rhetorical question as I have not seen the film and don't know the answer (but I suspect the answer's no).

Is this a record for highest score with no wrong answers in these contests?(Someone must be keeping statistics). (Just trying to get some plus out of an appalling showing).
And to think I was worried I'd never get out of my 17-19 position rut.
Cheers,

I scored:
In the MSB series of contests, there have been 18 scores above 1,000,000 with no wrong answers. These occurred in 5 contests (of course, depending on the turnout and the nature of the questions, the scores will vary greatly from one contest to another) and they apparently came from 18 different people.
Since Andrew calls attention to it anyway, I'll give his exact score: 2,776,032. The two highest scores with no wrong answer have in fact been 45,864,000 and, back in MSB1, 333,718,704.

I didn't enter this, but I found this one surprising:
As far as I was aware, it was called 'The Phil Silvers Show' - was it renamed at some stage? I've never seen it with either of the titles you mention.

If 'bushel' is wrong, then 'hogshead' is wrong for the same reason.

Oops, right. And (blush) this doesn't come within the parameters of what I meant by 'this sort of reason', since 'she' was right there in the list of answers.
This means that I will be rescoring the contest, at which time some of the other protests may also be taken into account.

Does US accept Montenegro as a real country? That would surprise me a lot, as the US have been fairly cool to the Montenegrin independence aspirations. Isn't it rather the case that from the official US point of view that Yugoslavia is a bit like Somaliland, just a white spot on the map. (Incidently, had Somaliland been counted, the incorrect answer of Ethiopia would have been correct.)
In question 6 you approved Montenegro as an answer, and I can accept it as a synonym for 'Yugoslavia', but one could argue that then also 'Kosovo' would should be approved and counted as the same as Montenegro. Of course, for many practical reasons Montenegro is independent - but if that is the criteria, surely Ethiopia is a correct answer.
I would suggest for the future that you at least do not accept Serbia and Montenegro as two distinct answers.
But does the CIA World Factbook say that the US accepts the Republic of China as a country of its own? I strongly doubt. Rather, the Republic of China has exactly the same borders as the People's Republic. But of course few countries officially recognize any Republic of China at all.

It's not clear to me why this is fair. If 'kin' is a correct answer, then as the question is phrased, 'kilderkin' is not. The fact that most people, including the person who wrote the rules, didn't anticipate this, doesn't make it wrong. It would also seem inconsistent to then grade 'bushel' wrong but not 'kilderkin,' based only upon the time at which people brought up objections. And speaking of timing. . .
This strikes me as a wrong ruling (as did your decision in an earlier contest to rule George Bush wrong, because he had not yet received any electoral votes when the entry was received, despite the fact that he had when the contest deadline was reached). Since it's impossible to score any of the entries until the contest is over, it would be logical to assume that entries would not be judged correct or incorrect until the contest deadline. If you're going to judge with this timing, it would probably be best to mention it in the rules.
Hmmm.... This seems problematic to me. How is the 'German Empire' the same as 'West Germany'? If we follow what was once the German Empire through history, it changed form several times and then split up into West Germany and East Germany

Nebuchadnezzar may be a bottle size, but it also appears to be a unit of volume. The unit conversion site,
http://www.chemie.de/tools/units.php3?language=e&
property=m%5E3
converts it as equal to 0.0052972 registeron (or as 15 liter, for those of you using metric).
