I've been trying to figure out what I believe is a puzzle square for over a month now... I have been told it can be done in under the 36 moves I have figured out. Here is the setup:

A A A A A B A A A A B B A A B B B B A B B B B B

I number them as follows:

01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25

The object being to flip the positions from A to B and B to A. Now you can move these only one way: as you move a knight in chess.

So you could move 02 to 13 then 11 to 02 and so on which would make the square look like this:

A B A A A B A A A A B A A A B B B B A B B B B B

Easiest way I can think of doing this is to draw a 5 x 5 grid and use 2 different coins to represent A and B.

If you can figure this one out in under 36 moves, could you please show me your solution?

Well, on the flip side, using fixed-width would normally mean using HTML...

BUT Google.com's Newsreader uses a fixed witdh font, I believe...

No. Using fixed-width would mean composing the message in a window using a fixed-width font, so that people could view it in a fixed-width font in their newsreader.

do a search on google for 'knight swap puzzle' it the first or second site that has the answer.
