The solution to this puzzle really is right in front of you.... What could I mean by that, hint hint?

This is the entire number sequence: 1, 5, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 7, 8, 9, 7, 6, 9, 10, 1, 4, 2, 5, 7, 4, 2, 2, 6, 1

Identify the sequence.

The above sequence has 26 terms, hint hint.

No math beyond counting required.

This one should be solved quickly....

It's the number of the diagonal column from the left of the letters on the keyboard (e.g. A is on the 1st column)

I thought I was on to something when I noticed the above statement of the problem consists of exactly 26 words. Was that an intentional red herring or coincidence?
