And, of course, thats using the term 'sport' in its loosest possible sense (with the exception of foxhunting)

Thats a shame, you were doing terribly well (boom, and indeed, boom)

That's 'Salchow', named after that noted Scandanavian figure skater Ulrich Salchow.

The 5 stars on the right hand part represent the constellation of Crux, the Southern Cross. (Hopefully the diagram should come out as expected)

*

* *

*

At the bottom is Acrux - Alpha Crucis - 13th brighest star in the sky On the left is Becrux (or Mimosa) - Beta Crucis - 20th brightest star in the sky At the top is Gacrux - Gamma Crucis - 24th brightest star in the sky At top right is Delta Crucis - 128th brightest star in the sky Below Delta Crucis is Epsilon Crucis which is much fainter.

On the left of the Australian flag is a much larger star. There is no bright star exactly where that star is, but two possible candidates are Alpha or Beta Centauri (3rd and 12th brightest respectively). Due to the size of the star compared with Acrux, I would suggest that this is Alpha Centauri.

I had heard that the seven points on the big star stand for the six territories and New Guinea.
