Here's an additional punning question:

In which movie (the first of a trilogy) does someone named after a mystical energy force discover that a chain is as good as a wrist?

Glenn Rhoads:

Which one? There's more than one line like that in the movie, which is *why* the parody version is 'Play it again, Sam'.

Gareth Owen:

Rick says that. Ilsa says 'Play it, Sam.'

They were signed by General Weygand. Ugarte slurs the pronunciation.

It's been a long time since I have watched this movie, but I think it is the crucifixion of Jesus.

I don't really know, but if I had to guess, I would guess Rock Hudson. The other actors are of similar type to Charlton Heston, and I can easily see any one of them in the role.

During the opening credits, he appears as a person trying and failing to get on a bus.

I haven't seen this one in a long time, either. I want to say George Burns did not appear in the movie.

(b) is correct. (a) You posted this before my hint appeared. (it was not Earl Scruggs)

(a) Correct (b) Incorrect. Hint: it was a famous painting. (c) Only *one* of the four did not turn down the starring role.

Correct. ('Eroica' is Beethoven's 3rd Symphony). I'm not sure why I remembered this obscure fact but you did too. Nice going.

It was simply 'I love you Spartacus'

Correct.

(a) Correct (b) Right year but wrong movie.

Close. George C. Scott beat him by a few years.

Yes but do you remember which step?

For years, I didn't know his name. He just seems to have a small part in
