There are N boxes contaning marbles. Each marble weighs 10 gm. But some boxes have faulty marbles, each weighing 9 gm only. You have a spring balance. Weighing just once how can you tell which boxes contain faulty marbles.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

yes again, I should have said each box contains sufficiently enough marbles to determine the faulty ones.

YES.

ie, u represent the difference in binary. and the position of 1's in binary representation represent the faulty boxes.
