Wow. You are seeing things that aren't there. There aren't 6! = 720 letters in the entire given sentence.

I saw no F's! (And I saw 6 f's, of which 3 are pronounced as f's and 3 are pronounced as v's.)

Cheers,

n!! is the double factorial. 6!! = 6*4*2 = 48. Still way to large. See http://mathworld.wolfram.com/DoubleFactorial.html .

The question was 'How many F's can you see.' I could see 2 F's, but now I see 6 (counting the one in the subject).

I was well aware of double factorials. But, formalist that I am, I think that sentences should always end with some appropriate punctation. Thus, when I saw 'I saw 6!!', I naturally interpreted it as an exclamation that he had seen 6! f's (which, if true, would indeed have been remarkable). In a similar vein, when I saw your statement '6!! = 6*4*2 = 48.', I had no inclination whatsoever to construe your period as though it were instead a decimal point.

If Akshat had really wanted to use a double factorial, he could have written the following sentence.

I saw 6!!.
