Slitherlink also known as  Dotty Dilemma is a logic puzzle published by Nikoli. As of 2005, 17 books consisting entirely of Slitherlink puzzles have been published by Nikoli.

Slitherlink is played on a rectangular lattice of dots. Some of the squares formed by the dots have numbers inside them. The objective is to connect horizontally and vertically adjacent dots so that the lines form a single loop with no loose ends. In addition, the number inside a square represents how many of its four sides are segments in the loop.
Other shapes can be used in lieu of the standard grid, as long as each tile has 4 sides. These include snowflake, penrose, laves and altair. They add complexity by increasing the possible paths from an intersection, but the same rules apply to their solution.

Here is one you can try courtsy of puzzles from the arena.

Very often those who embrace the hobby of bird watching become more and more interested in the health of the planet in general, as well as the well-being of it’s many inhabitants, winged and otherwise. This is why it is essential that young people are exposed to these fascinating creatures at an early age.

This little book is cleverly designed to do just that. Instead of writing a boring Beginner’s Guide which many children would avoid the author Patrick Merrell has interspersed word games, poems, cartoons, puzzles and quizzes with not only interesting trivia (such as “an Ostrich’s eye is the size of a tennis ball) but also facts that I believe are carefully designed to stimulate a child’s interest in and then hopefully caring for the fascinating world of these beautiful and complicated creatures.

What a treat—themeless crosswords from a long established master of the form, Frank Longo, and a newer hotshot, Mike Nothnagel.
Mike’s puzzle is the New York Times one, and he’s loaded it with some delightful fill. There’s some knotty stuff, as you expect for a late-week puzzle, but nothing beyond the pale.

The Diary of a Crossword Fiend-blog posted the incandescent answers.

The most popular Christmas tradition wears a new shape this year as Conceptis uncovers a 15-grid Multi Sudoku puzzle with the outline of a Christmas tree.

Games magazine has also included a Christmas tree Sudoku in the December issue published in the USA. According to Dave Green, president of Conceptis, magazine and newspaper publishers are welcome to use Christmas tree Sudoku puzzles in their next publications for promotional purposes or just for their reader’s fun.
