I'm stuck with a couple of crossword puzzle clues. Does anybody know:-

1. Irish Instrument, ...pipes. 7 letters- possibly UI_L_AN 2. Painful journey, via..... 8 letters - possibly DO_E_O_A 3. As previously cited (Latin). 4 letters - possibly I_ID

Any clues would be appreciated.

*3. As previously cited (Latin). 4 letters - possibly I_ID

That would be 'IBID.'

UILLEAN http://www.andysfronthall.com/bagpipes.html

Since dolorosus is Latin for painful: dolorosa? dolerosa?

ibid. (=ibidem)

Yes, I found at several places: 'via dolorosa( a long painful journey with many stops)' I hope your 'E' can be turned into an 'O'?

In particular, the 'Via Dolorosa' (Street of sorrow?) is a name for the street along which Jesus passed on his way to Calvary. Thus explaining the 'via' in the clue.
